Individual Assessment of Team Process.

This semester you have been involved in an active learning process we call "team learning".  I am interested in finding out about your experience and comparing it with the experiences of other students who work in teams.  Would you mind giving me some comments about your experience?  Your responses will remain anonymous.  Only your team designation is requested (never your name).  No individual or team level analyses will be reported with any identifying characteristics!  There are no right or wrong answers to any of these questions, so please be honest and COMPLETE.  Do not leave questions blank, even if it may seem like they've already been asked.  The survey should take about 15-20 minutes.  Make sure you click on one radio button for each question.

First, some team demographics.  Click inside each box and answer!

The total number of members in your group:

How many members were co-located on same campus?

How many members had worked in project teams before?

How many members had worked cooperatively with someone in virtual space before?

Your team name/designation (if you have one) or first and last initials of each of your team
members (2 initials per person please!)

Now that that's out of the way...

The first set of questions asks you about your relationships with other students in your assigned work group.  Respond by clicking on the radio button (marking) the degree to which you agree or disagree with the following statements about your work group.  You can change your answer by simply clicking on another button.

In this section questions concern your feelings about things that happened in the course of this semester and in the class project.  Remember - there are no right answers!

Working in teams increased the amount of information I learned in            SD A SA
this class.

Class project  policies and procedures used this semester seem                SD A SA
fair to me.

The workload in this class seemed fair.                                                            SD A SA

The exercises enhanced my understanding of course material.                   SD A SA

My instructor gave good reasons for policies and procedures used in         SD A SA
this class project.

To construct this project, my instructor collected all the necessary              SD A SA
information.

The course has significantly changed the way I will work with teams           SD A SA
in the future.

This course has improved my relationships with others not  in my                SD A SA
 class project.

This class project has improved my communication skills.                            SD A SA

This class team is one I will remember for a long time.                                   SD A SA

The class team has been important to me this semester.                             SD A SA

Our team was one of the better teams in class.                                              SD A SA

I generally agreed with the decisions and direction of our team.                  SD A SA

There is at least one attribute or characteristic of this team that I will          SD A SA
remember for a long time.

Being the best team was important to us this semester.                               SD A SA

Having good interpersonal relationships was important to us this                SD A SA
semester.

I was in frequent contact with members of my team.                                      SD A SA

I was certain about my team's future performance.                                        SD A SA

I would characterize my working relationship with my team as                      SD A SA
extremely effective.

I will be able to maintain close relationships with some of my                        SD A SA
teammates after the semester is over.

Our team had a distinctive "feel" to it.                                                               SD A SA

Team members were willing to have their ideas                                              SD A SA
 challenged and criticized.

Our group really tried hard to come to agreement on most things.               SD A SA

Our group seemed to want to come to a quick decision.                               SD A SA

Our group usually used a majority vote for actual decisions.                         SD A SA

Our group usually used consensus when we actually came to a decision.  SD A SA

Group members were willing to spend time repeating information               SD A SA
and explaining meanings to members.

Our group really tried to think of all the pros and cons of each                     SD A SA
idea we addressed.

Often I had ideas, but I did not share them with the entire group.                SD A SA

Personally, I rarely agreed with our team's decisions.                                     SD A SA

Our team seemed to have a strong leader.                                                      SD A SA

We often followed the opinions and decisions of our team leader.              SD A SA

There were many times that I did not share my disagreement                      SD A SA
with my team.

Enthusiasm for our team project increased steadily                                       SD A SA
during the semester.

Communication between team members increased steadily                        SD A SA
as the semester went on.

In my team my opinion counted.                                                                        SD A SA

In my team I was taken seriously.                                                                      SD A SA

In my team I was trusted.                                                                                    SD A SA

Finally, indicate the extent to which you agree or disagree with each of the following very general statements.

Sometimes I feel that I'm being pushed around in life.                                   SD A SA

I have little control over the things that happen to me.                                   SD A SA

I can do just about anything I really set my mind to.                                        SD A SA

What happens to me in the future mostly depends on me.                           SD A SA

There is little I can do to change many of the important things in my life.    SD A SA

Basically, the world is a just place.                                                                     SD A SA

Most people who work in America deserve the pay and benefits they         SD A SA
receive.

I've found that people who get promoted rarely deserve the promotion.     SD A SA

In this country, employees who stick up for their principles rarely                 SD A SA
 get ahead.

In almost any job, people who do the job well rise to the top.                        SD A SA

When things turn out right at work for someone they usually deserve it.     SD A SA

When management disciplines a worker it is usually for a good reason.     SD A SA

By and large, most employees are treated fairly.                                             SD A SA
